New Eastside Charity

Our neighbors are experiencing hunger, and children are at the greatest risk. The cost of food remains high and thousands of households are struggling to afford groceries. In Chicagoland, one in four households with children are food insecure. In partnership with 200 community organizations, the Food Depository distributed more than 365,000 meals to children in fiscal year 2023. You can be the difference for children and their families. A community’s strength, growth, and well-being all start with food. By nourishing people, we nourish hope.

I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Mia, the store manager of North Shore Exchange (NSE), a unique luxury consignment store located on the 4th floor at 900 N Michigan. NSE is not your average consignment shop; it operates on a consignment model with a charitable twist, where all profits go to charity.
